Author Interview: G.W. Conklin
Found: your next beach read! Thrilled today to get to chat with fellow NJ author G.W. Conklin. Like myself, Conklin's novel is set in...
"I want to work in life insurance when I grow up!"- said no one ever.
Armed with a BA in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University, where she graduated cum laude, Laura Quinn initially began her career investigating insurance fraud. With over a decade of proven analytical and business skills honed in a Fortune 100 environment, she eventually found herself in the appellate division of a Philadelphia-based insurer. Sounds fun, right?
Laura is grateful for her corporate experience but, as an avid reader, her true love has always been historical fiction. After recovering from a severe “book hangover” she decided to pursue her passion and traded the writing of persuasive legal arguments for more meaningful prose.
Her debut historical fiction novel, Thicker Than Water, is the first in a trilogy set against the picturesque shore town of Cape May, NJ, at the onset of World War One. A sweeping saga of betrayal, lies, and loss on all sides, the narrative marries the historically accurate world building of Ellen Marie Wiseman’s The Orphan Collector with the emotional resonance of Renee Rosen’s works.
The eBook launches on Friday, May 27, 2022, and the paperback version will be available on June 10, 2022.
