This year has been difficult for everyone but I always try to look for the silver linings. Presently, I find myself in the unique situation where I have the chance to pursue one of my passions- writing.
Two summers ago, I had what can only be described as a 'book hangover' and wrote a short story to amuse myself. That wasn't enough. These characters are important to me and after careful consideration I knew I had more to say. Last year I began the necessary research to develop a full historical fiction novel. I wrote my first chapter in mid-March. Then the whole world stopped. Nothing's promised. Priorities changed. What was originally a long term, "bucket list" side project now takes precedence. I'm so thankful to have the love and support to make this happen. It's a bit scary- starting something new...in a pandemic. I've had many blessings over the years and believe there are more to come in 2021. Stay tuned!
