October 2023 Update

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." ~ Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery

Hello readers! I hope your October is going as delightfully as Anne's. I'm a sucker for foliage, and our family just returned from western Pennsylvania where Mother Nature is putting on quite the show.

Earlier this month, I had the chance to meet with readers at St. Bridget University Parish (on the campus of Rowan University), who chose Thicker Than Water as the September read for their #bookclub. Below are some highlights from this memorable morning.

I also have an upcoming signing and speaking engagement this weekend. Please join me Saturday, 10/14/23, at the Manchester Library (21 Colonial Dr., Manchester, NJ 08759) at 11:30 am.

Because the library is located in Ocean County, in addition to taking questions from readers, I'll be discussing real-life events that occurred in TTW specific to that area. These include the 1916 shark attacks, Black Sunday, and Camp Dix (now Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst) as it operated according to my research. Limited copies of the paperback will also be available for purchase. Hope to see you there!

Then, get ready to #FallinLove. I'm thrilled to return to Barnes & Noble (4445 Southmont Way, Easton, PA18045) for the fall edition of #RomanceCon2023 where I'll be joining several talented authors throughout the romance and sub-romance genres including: Jennifer Wilck, Jessyca Vample, Caitriona Drexler, Linda Eggert, and Stacey Wilk.

Romance Con will run from 11 am to 4 pm, and include panel discussions as well as raffles. Come say hi, and get an early start on that holiday shopping. Books make great gifts, just sayin'.

Speaking of the holidays, congratulations to my lovely friend and #USATodayBestsellingAuthor Suzanne Simonetti on the launch of her latest work, A Cape May Christmas Story.

It's no surprise that I love Cape May at Christmastime. Reading this novella is akin to watching your favorite #Hallmark movie. All the warm and fuzzies!! Catch my full, #FiveStarReview here. Purchase links located on the author's website.

Next up I'll be reading The Bone Needle by another wonderful #USATodayBestseller, Rosalyn Briar.

What? You didn't think I'd skip right over #spookyseason did you?

The Bone Needle completes the duology Briar began with The Crown of Bones, described by Kirkus as, "...a well executed adventure that riffs on the darker aspects of European fairytales..." Think Once Upon a Time vibes if the show were to have aired on HBOMax versus ABC. The novel releases on (when else?) Halloween, with preorder links posted to the author's website.

Happy reading!!
